Default valve body

For you auto guys out there. Im considering getting a aftermarket valve body for my auto. My question is as of last summer after adding cams I had the car dyno tuned and they bumped up the shift firmness on my tranny. With that said can I put in a new valve body without getting it re tuned. Since it shifts harder than stock now will it shift insanely hard? Any advice would be appreciated it

I would think you'd have to have it re-tuned...consider this a free bump ttt for info!

You don't need a retune. You'll notice a little firmer shift but nothing insane like you're thinking.

If you have steep gearing like 3.73+ the shift RPM/MPH may needed adjusted but I doubt it.

I would think you would be able to adjust the shift firmness on the tuner yourself. You definitely don't want to have shift firmness form the tuner and the valve body itself.
