How bad??
So i posted a thread up couple weeks ago about how i got my first GT. I was real excited but i felt like it wasnt as powerfull as i thought it should be, well i thought i heard something that sounded like belt slipage, i brought it in the shop cause they needed to fix the headliner from the previous owner and it turns out that my clutch, presure plate, and thorw out bearing were bad[:@]. So now that i know the problem, is this why i wasnt feeling the full power of my gt or does that really effect the preformance??? sorry if i sound dumb but iam still learning.... thanks
No, it would effect it for sure.
The clutch controls the power your engine makes to your trans and therefore, the ground. If your clutch is slipping, you're not getting all the power to the ground. Put the car in 3rd gear and floor it from about 2-3k rpms... If it revs withough pullung real hard, you know your clutch is slipping.
