I got my built engine with new PI heads for 3k and a kb 2.1 for 5K. I would have built it lower compression if i knew i was going to get the sc. drove for about a year before i took that plunge. another 1k and i'm running 14 lbs and smiling a lot.

Well while you are doIng the PI swap you will have new heads cams and intake. When you do that you will have the chance to clean the block up and basically replace all of the gaskets and you will havE a freshly rebuilt engine. No need to worry about the 195,000 miles. And the vortech will be a direct bolt on all you will need is a upgraded fuel pump and fuel injectors and a tune. And your ready to go.

I would highly recommend the Coyote engine. Worked at Ford Motor and researched the development of this motor. Everything is new and built for durability. The Boss goes 1 step further,it is built to take to the track from the dealer and kick ***.

This is the kb video that bit me. If I knew I was going that deep and knew the 5.0 was coming it would have been a tossup. The 5.0 was put together to hook and go, mine sits and spins unless you baby it for a bit.
