Default GT muffler vs Cobra mufflers

Hello, does anybody know if the 03/04 Cobra muffler are more free flowing compared to the 03/04 Gt mufflers? Reason I ask is because Im upgrading exhaust and was thinking of using Cobra mufflers since they are pretty quiet compared to most aftermarket mufflers.

I just figure since the Cobras are almost 400hp, they would have given them mufflers that were more free flowing over the typical GT's.

Thanks

Its not gonna do anything for you. Even if they have a little more flow its not gonna matter on a N/A. Im pretty sure the stock exhaust can handle over 400hp you might as well keep what you got if your looking for a quiet exhaust

Im already gonna add an X pipe and was gonna increase piping to 2 1/2". So I just wanted to a muffler to match that without the rumble. I probably will just go with some magnuflows that I was reccomended. Im just scared it maybe a lil too loud for my taste. Also, im keeping my stock cats.
Thanks for the input.

Go to mustangexhaust.com there's a bunch of sound clips with different setups for all mustangs. Xpipes aren't quiet but sound bad ***.

Im pretty sure it wouldn't even fit because they are bent around the Cobra IRS (Independent Rear Suspension.)

Im sorry if i sound ignorant, but do you mean the piping is bent around the Cobra IRS or the muffler? Because I was only thinking of using the actual muffler because Im assuming they are more free flowing but yet the noise level is perfect. So if its the piping thats bent, then it wouldnt matter right?

there is no difference. shape and size are the same. ford gets them from a 3rd party vendor. so they will be exactly what you have.

get a set of Magnaflows. They arent loud at all unless you rev up. Cant even hear the car idle good, but I have mufflers only and not mid pipe and i have stock CATS.

with my set up its just enough to turn heads if i want and not kill my ears going down the road. I can even listen to music just fine. also, the performance of a straight through muffler seems to be logically sound. back pressure is cheap talk. numbers dont lie.
