Default PI swap/tuner question

So I'm in the process of doing a PI swap on my 98 gt, I don't have the funds right now to go get it dyno tuned, but do you think buying a handheld tuner for the time being is worth it? All input is greatly appreciated!

You're gonna need a handheld to get it dynoed anyway because the shop is gonna store your tune on it, so I say buy the handheld, see what bama could do for you and maybe they can give you a tune for run around while you save for the dyno tune

A tuner/tune is always "worth it", even on a dead stock engine as the OEM tune has very conservative ignition timing and runs pig rich at WOT. I have tuned several completely stock GTs and never once had anyone come back from the first drive without a grin...
