Trans problem
Ok i was at work and when i got off i went thru 1st gear and nailed 2 nd gear and pushed the clutch in and came to a stop. Then i went to put it in 1st to go again the shifter would not move, i could barley get it in nutruel but it would try to grind. So i drove the car home in 2nd gear only about 2 miles from home got it in the garage turned the engine off and messed with the shifter for a little bit and now it goes thru all the gears just like it used to. Wonder what happened? Everything seems fine.
Does the clutch pedal feel normal? When you "messed with the shifter" and it went into all gears was the engine running, clutch pedal depressed?
I ask because it could perhaps be a broken clutch cable, sometimes when they fail only one or 2 strands let go and the rest unwind a bit effectively making the cable shorter--making the clutch drag...
