Default Pulleys...

Will installing pulleys void my cars' warrenty???
I plan on getting Steeda.
Is it necessary to get a timing adjuster as well?? I've read a few posts and the majority seems to get the adjuster when buying the pulleys.
Thanks for the help!!!

I`m getting steeda as well. Labor should be under 100. Ive heard they wont void warranty but it depends on dealer you bring it to. I would say get gears first if your gonna do anything. Better gains than pulleys.

i'm pretty sure that pullies will void you warranty, call the dealer and ask, they'll say something like "because the pullies make some parts move slower than normally, it's considered altering the function of the motor and it's componuts." some dealerships will look for any reason to void your warrantie, I had a friend that got his warranty voided because be installed a boost guage, his car had 7k miles.

Go with the Steeda pulleys. Have 'em; love 'em.

$100 to install? Do it yourself. It's not that difficult. Follow the thread above. I wrote the instructions, but you'll need the right tools. If you're not comfortable doing it, then $100 is okay, but no more than that.

Warranty voided? NO! The warranty will only be voided IF the failure is CAUSED by the aftermarket part, and it will only be voided for THAT part. The overall warranty remains in effect.

However, many dealerships can and do refuse to do warranty work on modified cars. Be warned.

Only if you want to up the timing and run premium gas, sure. It'll give you power.

What he said. You can do that and buy 91-93 octane, or get a tuner and do the same thing through the computer. (You'll still need high octane fuel)
