How much power am i making?
I know there are a ton of these threads but i am just curious about my own specs. I do plan on doing more engine mods(especially now that exterior is complete) but i just want to know approximately what are the horsepower and torque ratings at the crank and at the wheels. I know it wont be significant with these mods but i just wanna see how far it is until my goal of at least 300hp at the crank(bragging rights lolz)
Performance Mods so far are:
Cold air intake
Flowmaster super 44 Mufflers
Bassani Catted X pipe
Future performance mods:
BBK 78 mm throttle intake
4.10 gears(i know it will not change any numbers but it makes me go fast
)
possibly 24 lb injectors(gotta check up on which injectors i have:the 19 lb or 21 lb. if i have 21 lb i will just keep them.
Underdrive pulley's maybe. If i wbought these which should i get? Sr which is $140, BBK which is $155, or Steeda which is $230
Bama Tuner
So basically what will i be making now and what will i be making when i get all of the future mods on? (at the crank and wheels)
thanks you guys

Anyways, getting a nice tune on it would make you hit 300 at the crank possibly. If not, LT's, cams, and then FI
275 at the crank now i say. but i dont see it increasing muchwith the throttle body and the injectors. Also, underdrive pullies dont really make power, they "free up" unused power to my understanding, which is not good if using an aftermarket stereo/sub, FI, etc. I believe there are better ways to create power.

Either way, longtubes yield great gains with a tune, and the sound you get from them is like no other
I think your Bassani x pipe is a modular design so you should be able to use it with longtubes. As far as brands of LT headers, look for any set of ceramic coated headers that fit well. Everyone has their own opinion but I don't think the $1000+ headers are worth the money.
Without a tune 225 rwHP, 265 at the flywheel.
First read through the Mods for Beginners "sticky" as I believe it will help you make your future decisions...
On to what you have done and your plans:
Cold air intake:
A CAI adds no power to the 4.6L 2V engine, as the stock intake is a CAI at least as good as any aftermarket kit and better than many;
Flowmaster super 44 Mufflers
Bassani Catted X pipe:
Opening up the exhaust adds a little peak HP (maybe 5 rwHP), and peps up the mid-range. However without a tune the impact is not great--it's a good first step;
=============================================
BBK 78 mm throttle intake:
Much larger than necessary, it will pull some power after 5500 rpm at WOT as the charge velocity drops;
possibly 24 lb injectors(gotta check up on which injectors i have:the 19 lb or 21 lb. if i have 21 lb i will just keep them:
Moving to 24 lb/h injectors will require a new tune, however mod #2 should be a tune/tuner anyway;
Underdrive pulley's maybe. If i bought these which should i get? Sr which is $140, BBK which is $155, or Steeda which is $230:
Steeda;
Bama Tuner:
Do this now, before any of the above...

Listen to Cliffy.
Stock 2v 260 bhp, 220 rwhp. Your current mods are prob 265/225 as is.
Keep adding the supporting mods for a supercharger. You wont be satisfied w/ 2v power until you do.
Take a test ride in a SCed 2v and see the diff.
Dont get under drive pulleys if you do go SC.

I wanted to place a bit more emphasis on getting a tune/tuner.
Bolting on anything before getting a tune/tuner, other than opening up the exhaust to 2-1/2" from the manifolds back (mufflers welded into the stock catback don't count), will not add any horsepower--zip, zilch, nada.
The stock tune sucks, big time. The ignition timing can be bumped 2° to 4°, even with 87 octane fuel, and the fueling is very rich in open-loop mode (high loads and WOT)--pig-rich with the pink 21 lb/h injectors, dipping to the low 11s:1 to the high 10s.
OP,
A dead stock GT, with a decent 93 octane optimised tune, would make 5+ rwHP more than will your engine with the CAI and exhaust mods you listed.
Add a tune, 70 mm TB and upper plenum to your mods, and you'll be touching 245 rwHP peak with much more noticeable gains in the 3000 to 5000 rpm range--where you can actually use it...

thanks guys! Especially you cliffyk, it helps alot! which TB and plenum should i get. I was thinking the BBK 78mm throttle intake or the SR throttle body and plenum since it would match my CAI
