Default 281 stroker kit? Does it exist?

Is there such a thing as a stroker kit for the 4.6L 281 motors?

Of course, but it's cheaper and more effective to just sc it. Now if you're going for 1000 hp, go for it. Otherwise, you don't really need it.

if ya take the stroker crank and put it in to one of the big bore blocks you can get a 323.
it will only cost ya 4 or 5 grand.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-6-F...spagenameZWDVW If you want to go high hp this is the way to go. A forged crank alone costs about $600. If you still want more hp (blower or big shot) get these too.

Keep in mind you will have to upgrade trans, rear, and frame connectors too.

Well I was just asking. I've been thinking about SC in the future. What all do you have to do to the motor with say 60k + miles on it inorder to NOT blow it up? I've been told that even with 6-8lbs of boost will throw a rod. The old tymers say "you can't do something to the top and not touch the bottom". Would I need a new cam, crack, and such??

A stock engine can hold about 9 PSI. And you shouldn't blow it up with only 60k.
