I've already gotten plenty of flack from the OTards about using the 2v motor but i don't really care.
Just thought I'd share some progress pics and if anyone has any input that isn't along the lines of "you're stupid for using the 2v motor" i'm all ears. This is the most ambitious project i've undertaken yet.
Also if anyone is interested in any of the parts i'm not using...

I don't give a crap what anyone says, the modular is better than the 5.0L was. One thing that I highly recommend though is to swap out the NPI heads with some PI versions. You can do the swap for around $300 and it's well worth it.

I am partial to the mod motors too.
I got the Fox for a song and parting out what is not being used from the 96 is slowly repaying that cost...plus it came with an SCT and chrome cobra R wheels and brand new tires that i put on my other 96...so it's practically a free donor car when you factor in what i saved on the wheels, tires, and tuner that i'd have bought anyway
I have another 96 on which i have done the PI swap. It makes quite a difference. I'm considering doing it to this swap but i'm building this to challenge myself, to have .something to do other than watch tv at night, and to sell and make some money. i don't know if the PI swap will necessarily up the price to anyone other than a mustang enthusiast.

look here:

If anyone laughs, put a bottle in the car and shoot a nice 150hp shot. That fox should weigh less too. btw, that's not my car in the thread above

At this point parting stuff out has paid for the fox. total investment thus far is down to 1K.
I'm planning that. I'm using EVERYTHING. the fox is going to be just the platform. fuel lines, brake lines, fuel tank, interior front and rear suspension...the works coming from the '96.
I'm going to use the A-arms and K-member from the 96. unless that tracks too wide and rubs in which case i'll put the fox A-arms and steering rack on the 96 K-member.
HAHA yeah man. I live in Grandville. How about this freaking snow?

So i have a guy who wants to buy the shell of the 96 after i have stripped it of what i need. so i have turned my focus to stripping that.
That dash is a pain in the ***. the dash itself isn't so bad but the under dash harness with all those push pins to hold it in place is a pain.
got the dash out but the heater box is broken. got the dash harness and ECM out. tonight i'm doing to drop the motor i think to give me more room to work with getting the other accessories out.
do they sell pre made brake and fluid lines or are they just so easy to make that they don't bother? or should i go ahead and salvage them from the donor?
