Default 1996 ect problem HELP!!!

ok.. my car sat for a LONG time waiting for a rebuild... got it rebuilt... had to replace the coolant temp sensor thats right next to the thermostat housing.. after drving it for a test drive the check engine like came on... but the fans are working proper now.two codes poped up p1000 and another.. one said something about battery being disconnected/code erased and the other was low voltage to that sensor... the wires are ok and the sensor is working awesome(atleast the fans are working now and the temp is normal). but idk why this check engine light is on, can anyone help? thanks alot for reading.

another thing is... is there a differance in the coolant switch and coolant sensor?.. oreilly carried the part but it was labeled as both. but autozone i now see has two differant parts. the part she gave me was a switch for the price of the sensor cause it was 16.99 and the switch says its 27 bucks. but i remember she said we there is 3 of them and when i went on the site the switch had 3 and the sensor had like 5 to choose from. so idk whats up with their system on this part.

P1000 is normal, you will get that any time you disconnect the battery or reset the codes manually. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.

What is the other code number you are getting?
