I have an 2002 mustang gt i have stainless steel loudmouth exhaust and cold air. Car is weak its not as strong as a stock v8 should be my mom had a stock 97 gt and it would run circles around mine anythoughts?

 

Hi, what have you done to the car? how many miles? has the regular maintenance been done to the car? recent tune-up? From your post you only added a louder exhaust. nothing to increase the HP/Torque on your car.And the 96-98 V8 car where down about 30 HP compared to your car.96-98 ,230 hp, 99-04, 260 etc. Post more info. and checkout the tech section. Good info to start with.

 

The 97 being faster was probably your butt dyno, could of had gears and ur stuck with 3.23s in your 2002
