I just bought a 98 gt about 2 months ago and it has an alarm on it. But i dont know if its a factory alarm, all i know is that it could be a factory alarm, or an aftermarket alarm hooked up to the factory boxes. Anyways theres a hidden button down buy the hood pop lever and then theres a red button that flashes behind the steering wheel on the dash on the left side..i dont know what a factory alarm looks like or acts like. My alarm has a ignition kill, and it has a shock sensor..so could this be a factory alarm? I need a remote for this alarm, so im havin trouble

 

not factory. go under the dash, follow the valet wire or led wire to the brain. find the brand and model number and contact the manufacture for a remote.

 

This is a factory alarm..it has to be. I followed all the wires and they all lead up to a black box that says "FORD SECURITY SYSTEM" on the back of the box its got all kinda of information but nothing from another company..so how could i get a remote for this?

 

Does the lil red light behind the sterring wheel say Cliford on it? cause thats what i got and its not stock
