I built my buddys car with my stock heads ported by a friend, cms stage 2 blower cams, TFS intake, D1 procharger pushing 10lbs on a stock block and it made 510rwhp. He beat on that car trying to blow it up so his wife would let him build the bottom end. Never did blow. Sold it 5 years later. The easier you make it for the engine to make power the longer it will last and the more it will take.

i can swap in a $2900(600hp setup) or $1800(500 hp setup) mmr short block and swap to 14 psi pulley, and retune still using stock heads and get that, hell maybe even skip the block and get that with a pulley swap and retune. but i dont trust the bottom end at that point, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you get inspection holes. i doubt i could port my heads and get cams and swap it all over and retune cheaper

Why don't we stick a 200 shot it and let it ride, that would be the cheapest route of it all.
In all reality, op if you are shooting for 350+ rwhp, go with a blower. It wont hurt having the supporting mods like the intakes and exhaust but it adds up quickly. The best advice is:
1) Set a goal
2) Plan it out
3) stick to the plan
4) REPEAT 3!
5) Enjoy
