Default New alternator-battery light flashes during hard acceleration

Hey guys got a problem. Had the local dealership install a alternator for me this week. Car starts up fine but under hard acceleration the battery light flashes on. After I let off it goes away. I'll be taking it back on Monday just wanted to see what you guys think it may be.

^ this, when i installed my blower, i had to replace the tensioner as well due to it getting weak, the belt would slip and cause me to lose boost, same could be happening only the alt slipping might stand out more with your type of supercharger setup

Johnny thanks for chiming in bro..Jwogg you're the man. I'm gonna have them check the tensioner next week. Quick question. My cars been making a weird sound sometimes at idle. It dosent do it all the time and just yesterday i let it idle for about 15 mins and no noise. I was thinking it was the ac compressor but the car blows ice cold. Could it be the belt or tensioner?

without hearing it its hard to say, but when they get weak the tend to vibrate a bit and can rattle

I'm not giving you a hard time but I am confused why you had the dealership install an alternator? With your supercharger its still installed up top right?

I would agree that it's either a slipping belt (how old is it) or a worn tensioner since you just had the alt replaced.

My old v6 used to do the exact same thing (flickering battery light at WOT) although in my case it was an alternator that was going bad.

It's gonna most likely be belt/tensioner, possibly a faulty alternator. Check out all the connections as well, could be something not connected right.

Hey guys got a chance to take it it the shop to get checked out/fixed. Seems as though My AC clutch was bad. Could this had effected my charging system?
