Default vortech aftercooled vs. procharger??

ok.. ive got a offer for about 3k for a vortech with a boost pipe and an aftercooler on it with guages and injectors already (which i have already.. haha) but i was wondering if the aftercooled vortech is a better blower than a procharger with a 3-core intercooler. the vortech has 8,000 miles on it right now.

vortech is better. hands down. hey the front mount looks cool and all but vortech rules all. plus the aftercooler does a better job of cooling with less pressure drop

yea... i kinda am tempted to jump on this vortech... the guy says 3,000 firm which sounds like a good offer.. and his only mods were some shortie headers, H pipe, and accufab tb/plenum... so i should have some more power than him and he dynoed at 400 rwhp.

also... how does the aftercooler work? do you have to keep refilling it with oil? how does the blower get oil? do you have to tap the oil pan and take off the pan?

the supercharger taps in to the oil pan. the aftercooler is a heat exhanger with a underhood mounted coolant tank

One thing to check is to see if the head unit is a V2 as opposed to a V1. The V2 is the newer model and is the super quiet one. It probobly is though. The cooler is very nice and I paid 1600 for the cooler kit alone. Make sure he has the radiator, coolant tank and pump too.

this is the post he had....
its a SQ trim blower whatever that is....:
Head unit with all brackets and plumbing.
Aftercooler kit with all plumbing.
It has the fuel pump that came with the kit, I wouldn't use it though, buy a focus pump or something.
Boost pipe, don't know what brand.
90 MM mass air
42 lb FMS injectors.
Diablo MAFia, in case you peg the MAF.
Autologic chip that would have to be reflashed for your ECM.
Phantom Boost and fuel pressure guages. 2 1/16.

All it needs is an air filter adapter ring ,costs about $30 or so, and a tune. Like I said I would replace the fuel pump also.

$3000 firm.

also there is a pic....
pic of blower

also... how quiet is it? can you still fully tell there is a blower under the hood? i like to hear that whine of the blower if you know what i mean.

Get this fuel pump and drill a couple holes in the bucket the pump mounts in. I'm going to get this pump soon and drill the holes cuz I didn't and I think it's leaning out at the end of the run even though it looks good on the dyno.

i just ordered it... looks like a good pump to me, outflows a 255 so it gives some room if i upgrade the car more.
