I would start with the usual tune-up items like spark plugs and fuel filter. Inspect the coil boots as well as you take it apart; any that are cracked or deteriorated or signs of arcing through (usually looks like a brown-ish dust like substance) replace as necessary. May as well invest $7 in a can of MAF sensor cleaner (there is a special aerosol spray for this, use nothing else) and use that too.
The TC sounds like a separate issue, can't offer any suggestions on that one.

The boggs down could be the traction control because that's kind of what it does to stop wheel spin as it has a number of weapons to use like timing/fuel to using the brakes ..
But as Z28KLR says I would change things like fuel filter and coil packs as I just had to change both on mine with 110,000 miles and what a different's it made..
