Which way is the switch supposed to be to enable it. In or out?
I do not believe the TCS switch has a locking in or out position (at least not on my 03). The only time the button is in is when your finger is pressing on it. The button is more of a "change state", in that the button doesn't really indicate on or off. It just tells the controller to do what option is next in line (stock this is simply on or off).
OK. If the switch is illuminated, is the traction control operative, or not? Sorry to sound like such a DA.

When the swtch is illuminated, it lights "off." Meaning the traction control is off.

Word. I don't know why they made it that way. Its back asswords. It should just say "TCS" and default to illuminated/ TCS on. That way, when the light is off, so is TCS.

Thank you guys. The manual is confusing. So, if the light is on, then it is off. It doesn't make sense, but at least now I now know that if it is illuminated, it is off.
