stalling while stopping
hey ive got a 2000 gt with an intake and 94k mi. on it. when in come to a stop most of the time it will drop to like 250-300 rpms and then rev up before idling. it doesnt do it if i throw it into neutral and come to a stop, only when im stopping and then push in the clutch. is there andy reasons for that? could it be my clutch? i think im in need of a new one. i can hear it squeaking when the clutch is out and it grinds a little in first when i start to go. also the clutch pedal sweaks when it is not pressed in, could that be fom the clutch or are the a couple bolts that i can tighten to stop it?
Dirty Idle Air Controller... Pull it out and spray carb cleaner in it... then give it a try, I think your clutch problems are something different entirely.
But I can't resist saying this, you may want to push the clutch in before your car is about to stall when slowing down, that may help too.
I took pictures of my IAC just so you can find it, lost the pictures though, they are around here on the forum somewhere, do a search for IAC or something.
