1999 mistang gt ECU replacment HELP!!
I bought 1999 mustang GT automatic with wynjammer supercharger. I drove it for a month and then the engine blew up. So I decided to swap 5.4 DOHC out of Navigator and I will use the supercharger on it. I already have the engine in and it start and I drove it. I just took the ECU out and found the one of the pin is bent and touching other pins. I pulled the pin to make it straight and I tried to start the engine on and it didn’t. How it was working when the pins and touching each other and when I straight it out it do not work? I am thinking that could cause the previous engine to blow up. I want to replace it, what ecu I can use? I know 1999-2004 ECU are different. How do I know what ECU fit my car according to the ECU code? I will buy one from the junk yard.
thank you

My other mistake is the IAC is facing the top toward the hood. So Next, i am going to use the spacer, rotate the throttle body upside down, and close the hole I made in the hood.

you will need an adapter plates from MMR to fit any coyote intake manifold on 5.4 DOHC. Also I used mmr adapter plate to run cable throttle body on the boss 302 intake manifold. The TB I am running is 75mm from 1990-1993 mustang gt.

Good Idea. I will find out. I think the ecu is not good anymore. So I want to change it. How do I know what ECU that will fit my car from the codes. Is there any specific code for 1999 mutang gt?

That's a tough question, if it was running using the original ecu, i would be thinking why not get the same one, for now anyhow. part number is on the side of the ecu
A 5.4 is going to have different fuel tables and timing and with the super charger your going to have to have a custom tune and at that point they can make all those adjustments.
You could have a problem with the PAT system when swapping ecu's

I will flash the new ecu to the car. And I will tune the car once I have the supercharger installed.
