Default Keyless Entry- Unlock doesn’t work

So I recently had to reprogram my keyless entry to my car. When I did, every button on the remote works EXCEPT for the unlock. Is there a way to fix this, it is slightly annoying.

thank you in advance for any help

Welcome!

Does power unlock work from the door buttons?

The circuit between the module and the door lock motors sounds like it's ok, then. If the remote fob has been properly programmed and the module is responding to signals for all of the other key fob functions, then you're probably looking at either a bad module or a problem with the fob itself.

Try replacing the battery first

Nice find for $6.00. Glad you didn't have to replace the keys, those are like $120 a piece from what I was told.

I just had one made, for FREE at the ford dealer. I only brought one key, and they
replaced the cluster. Well, for whatever reason, they needed two keys for the cluster,
for programming the IC. So, now I have three keys for mine, I need to program the
one I left at home, they told me how to do that without any special tools:

1. Put 1st valid key in, turn to run, wait for dash lights to go out, turn off, remove key.
2. Put 2nd valid key in, turn to run, wait for dash lights to go out, turn off, remove key.
3. Put key to be programmed into the car in, turn on, wait for dash lights to go out, start.

That's what the Ford Tech told me; Edit: 4:20PM EST 3/26/18 - Verified, all three keys work now.

Someone also messed with the lock cylinder he said. Double sided keys should be
able to turn no matter what way you insert the key. Well, mine, the FORD logo on
the key has to face the windshield in order for the cylinder to turn, to start the car.
For that reason, they cut two keys there, and one would not work in the cylinder, so
he said someone must have done something that had a lock-smith messing with the
tumblers.

Anyway, when I bought the car, the temp gauge did not work right, so when I bought it
they (Smail Acura) agreed to replace the cluster. 1st and 2nd time, the Brake/ABS/TCS
lights were on, my car doesn't have ABS or TCS. I said, Ford needs to program the
cluster after the FIRST time. So, when it did the same thing the 2nd time, they sent
me and the cluster down to their ford dealer where they, what? PROGRAMMED it...
As a result, they needed a second key, so they did that free as well... They lost one
in the process due to the lock cylinder issue. But that's fine, I will have a 3rd key to use
for the remote starter.
