In my 98 GT i do not have the mach sound system and was thinking of upgrading my door speakers and adventually even subs. Does anyone have any recomendations for the door speakers that will put out a nice sound and fit the stock size?

 

I got a set of Pioneer. I got rid of my amps and installed a set of three ways. They sound better then they did with the amps.

 

6x8 is the factory size opening, but 5 1/4's will fit easily with an adapter bracket. Should be easy to find a good set of speakers in that size.
