Default automatic shifters?

Just wondering what the options are for those of us with automatic trans. on new shifters. Do they make a different shifter that will have any positive effect on driving or are they all just for looks? Because those stock auto shifters are dull looking. And if so, would a aftermarket shifter have a overdrive button or is that something id have to rewire somewhere else? Thanks

^Yeah man- same here.

what i want to do so bad is...

remove my shifter(the handle and the "arm)

and put in the ARM and HAndle of say like the "quicksilver"
CAN ANYONE tell me is that possible?
I know the QuickSilver comes in a case... but of course I would remove that and just use the ARM and HANDLE.

^see that- I would like to take the ARM and the HANDLE (they are together obviously) out of that bottom "box" and replace my stock "ARM AND HANDLE" with that one.
is that possible?

^Or even that one... see remove the BOX and install just the ARM and HANDLE.

anyone know? THANKS

best bet is to call a authorized rep and ask, not sure about it, personally the hammer works great, ratchet shift and a shift kit (transgo) is the way i would go, get a tremendous improvement in the car
