Default Engine Help!!!!

I have a 97' GT with a blown engine. I called DSS Racing and they have a long block thats a little better then stock that would run me $5k with tax and shipping. I really like VT but they are out of my price bracket. I really dont want to spend more then $5k. Does anyone know any other place that has long blocks in that price range? Thanks a lot for any info you have

Thanks man. What will I have to do in order to put the Mach 1 in? Such as will it bolt right onto the k-member? Will I have to get a new wire harness and computer or just the harness?

the motor itself will bolt right in and and will bolt right up to the tranny...(they are the same block)

as for the computer i don't really know......best bet would be to ask them before you order.
