What is the factory rear-end ratio on a 2002 Mustang GT 4.6L 2V V8? Anybody know?...

3.55s or 373s are both excellent choices. The last 5.0 I built had 3.73s and it was still fine on the highway. I drove it across the country. My cobra has 3.55s stock and I'm thinking of going steeper but the transmission allows it since in 6th gear on the highway it is barely turning. I didn't notice what gears your car has in it. It is true that you will not notice a whole lot of difference if your car already has 3.27s and you choose 3.55s. If this is the case and you want more gear, go with the 3.73s or spend your money elsewhere.

What kind of times and/or improvements in your 0-60 and 1/4 times did you see? I'm wondering specifically about '96-'98 cobras and 99+ GTs with 3:73s or 4:10s...
