Default Average Fuel Pressure?

Have been having some problems with my new 03' GT with less than 5k on it.First problem was before I hit the 3500 mark it spent all(thats right all) 8 plugs to avolcano redtip.

It has had numberous parts replaced by the dealer: Fuel pump,Coils, EGR valve, Intake pressure sensor,MAFsensor........ect.

The dealer has ran out of ideas and my patients are running pretty F*$*%g thin.

The car has the hickups, thats the best way to describe it. It has power then it loses power. Periodical slow acceleration to the point of almost a bogg. My thought is maybe fuel pressure. Started the car and my FPG read 40psi and fell clear down to 20psi before it stabalized to around 32psi through idle, bursts of rpm, and sustained rpm at 4500(rpm).

Is this normal? Do 4.6L SOHC have low pressure fuel systems? My 87' GT would run at around 49psi all day and that was stock.Anybody know the correct fuel pressure this car should have? Any info would be appreciated.

Have you had the injectors tested? Under normal idle conditions your injectors can work properly, but under load you can have some major issues.

Sounds like you need a Lemon Law Lawyer soon.

The dealer never mentioned that, but they did say that they were going to send a fuel sample to Ford via their request. These people are acting like I put f*****g rocket fuel in this thing or something. Whats really aggravating is that they have my car for a couple of days and then they give it back and say its fixed. Last time I took it in they told me it ran like sh*t because I used 93 octane in it.

I'd have the injectors tested and if that fails, suggest replacing the ignition...if all else falls...lemon law!!!!!!

Have thought about the lemon law, but that requires the same thing to be replaced 3 times. No real consumer protection in the usa thats what sucks. So right now I am stuck with a car that is high performance with out having any performance. Oh, and the $480 car payment. Starting to feel like I should have bought a truck instead.

Don't worry. It's deffently something little and stupid. Make a list of what you think it could be. Then just go down the list. You'll get it.
