About 4 hours ago i was backing our of my driveway and i went over the curb a little too fast. It wasn't that hard but right when i hit something went wrong. I lost my idling and the engine died. I got it started again but it kept dieing. The only way i could keep the car running was to rev the engine right when it started. Whenever i came to a stop it would die again. I was driving it around the neighborhood and also noticed that whenever i let off the gas in 2nd gear, the exhaust would make a weird sound. Im not exactly sure how to describe it but it didnt sound good. Anyone have any clue what could be wrong?

 

i think it seems like im losing compression somewhere. Maybe my exhaust broke. not sure. anyone have ideas?

 

the only thing i kno of that isnt an expensive fix is check you're MAF. I forgot to reconnect it after changing my CAI on my old 3.8L and it did the same things (engine died when stopped, funny exhaust noises)

 

i'd check to see if the exhaust, fuel line, or fuel filter got crushed or smashed closed..those might have a little to do with the idle/dieing problem

 

oxygen sensor could have come loose to, but yea MAF check as well.
