Yes you have a tremec 3650. I would highly recommend MGW short shifter. They have a very good product, they give you everythign you need and a 1/4" instruction booklet. Also the handle can be rotated to be positioned better for the driver. No other short shifter that I know of can do that. It feels real tight. I have owned a pro 5.0 for my 89 mustang, its nice, but MGW is much better!

I must say that I have to agree. Get the MGW, it will not dissappoint you.

While you're in there drain and change your transmission fluid. The open shifter mounting hole makes re-filling easy. I used 3.2 quarts, some have used 3.5 quarts, and some recommend 3.8 quarts. My Tremec 3650 had an occasional third gear lockout, and changing and lowering the fill to 3.2 quarts (3.0L) of Dexron III eliminated it

I have the Steeda and I love it, but all the choices are so much better than stock that you'll fall in love with any of 'em.

I just received my MGW and will be installing it today. What kind of transmission oil should I buy? I see it needs around 3.5 quarts?

I just bought the PRO 5.0 shifter online and expect it by this weekend. I have the T45 transmission, does anyone know about how much tranny fluid I should put in? Also I bought it used, what else is needed for the install? Are longer bolts necessary? What type of sealant should I get? Other than that I am under the impression it is a pretty simple install, no more than an hour in the garage.

I was told shifters are mostly the same as long as you stick with Steeda, MGW, or PRO 50. I went with the one I could get the best deal on, which happened to be the PRO. I paid 75, shipping included.
