you're going to need a shorty midpipe for LTs.

You just need to order a set that are speifically for your car.

and I wouldn't try to modify the stock pipe to fit with LTs. It would be pretty difficult, and it still will be the crappy small stock tubes. You can get a O/R x for like 200 bucks.

no....the thing is that the BBK headers that i want are only made for GT's or Cobra's at the 99-04 years.....and they only fit 5-speed T's......and that I have......but they do not specify if they will fit convertibles or hardtops.....because I've read that the crossmember may interfere.......because as we know convertibles are different from hardtops.....espescially in support from the lack of a roof

Im going to be soon purchasing my BBK LT's and I have an 00' GT Vert. I have been going through this for a while now, Ive gotten some good information. No one has every metioned to me about it not fitting a vert compared to a hardtop... I am pretty sure almost positive this has nothing to do with anything... that is also probably why the websites don't specify either because it doesn't matter what type of car you have.

i just got an email from SLP and they told me that the longtubes will work on autos which i have and wanted to know about and they fit standards but they told me that it wouldn't fit a convertible which i don't have. so i would just send an email to BBK and ask them and they can give you all the information you need

I have a convertible and none of the shops I have spoken with about header installations have mentioned that hardtops and convertibles require different LT's. I know with the X-pipe they don;t mention it either.

this is the email i got...

Hi Mark, Thank you for your email question and your interest in our
products. Our Long tube Mustang headers will work on both manual and
automatic cars but they will only work on hardtop models not convertibles.
Thanks, Don
