Default how dose this look?

well, i need a new hood for my 5.4 project because its a little taller intake manifold by a few inches so i am considering this hood how dose it look

if the cowl is not tall enough (a 3" cowl)then i figure that the scoop will be because the intake will sit right under the scoop to help with clearance

I agree, I love the hood without the scoop.

I think you should buy this hood, its a VIS carbon fiber 4" cowl hood. I think this will give you more clearance than that other hood, and its lighter and looks pretty good.

Thats a cool hood.....but the one that is on the 94-98 has the stock hood scoops on the side....and the 99+ ones don't have the scoops on the side. I like it without the scoops. It leads me to think that they just put a cowl on the stock hood with CF vinyl? I dont know, just weird that the 2 are different. I'm being too critical of it, looks cool tho and should fit his application.

I like it. My buddy had one on his 98 Saleen and it set the car off really nice. I think it would look cooler without the scoop but its tight with it too. Go with it man...

I like the hood that you have pictured. If thats the clearance that you need, get it.

That hood looks good, it would look better without the scoop but since you need it I would go with it.
