Default New guy here

Wanted to say "What's up" to everyone. Just bought a used '98 GT Convertible for my wife. I have to say that I've been driving it way more than she does. Not too many mods but I do plan on doing some. Can anyone recommend a good suspension kit? I don't want to drop the car too much, just enough to fill up the gap between the tires and fenders.

Welcome to our happy family!

Doesn't your wife like "her" car? Or did you really buy it for yourself? LOL!!

my friends keep asking me when my wife is going to drive "her car?" it's not that she doesn't like it, it's just that i keep taking it, similar to that commercial. we see who can get to it first thing in the morning.

Nice car dude.

I will move this post to 4.6 for you because I'm sure some of those guys have ideas for you.

You are heading in the right direction by going with a subtle drop on the car because your wife won;t be pissed that you ruined the ride on her car LOL.

Is it auto or manual? How much exhaust noise will the wife let you go with? Because exhaust really helps these cars, same with gears and a Good tune. Ultimately I imagine you will might want to consider Heads/intake or maybe a power adder.

Good luck. You are going to have alot of fun.

Have a Look at some of our site sponsor links. They offer all kinds of good kits and helpful information.

Welcome to the forums

For suspension Check out Stang Suspension

For about a .75" drop Check out the ford racing suspension package

For about 1"-1.25" check out steeda sport springs and some tokico shocks/struts
Then probly get some steeda front and rear sway bars
