RE: gears
I am really glad that I listened to everyone on here and got 4.10's. I would send the 3.73's back and have them send you the 4.10's. If you put in the 3.73's you will be really disappointed, get the 4.10's or 4.30's!!!!

RE: gears
I have a 96gt with a t-45. I wanted to keep highway rpm's some what reasonable so that's why i chose the 3.73 but eveyone keeps talking about 4.10. What rpm are you running at highway speed of like 65 with my set up?

RE: gears
I bought my car with 3:73's and i never really noticed that it has gears. I would hate to see how slow it feels wtih stock gears because 3:73's dont seem that fast. Id go 4:10's if i were you.

RE: gears
4.10. i wouldn't spend the money to put them 3.73s in. see if they'll swap them for 4.10s. i listened to people on here awhile back about the gear thing. people who have never had 3.73 or 4.10 would just go by word of mouth and say 3.73 for the BS like highway driving, gas mileage, 5 speed, forced induction. now i'm stuck with 3.73s with my highway driven, supercharged GT and want 4.10s, but don't wanna spend the $500 to get new ones again.

RE: gears
well i've given the advice of going with the 3.73 for highway driving......if you drive like i do on the highway.......generally between 80-90
i thought 3.73's would be better.......but in retrospect there really is only a 300 rpm difference between 3.73 and 4.10
granted it's still in the 3500 rpm range.....which is too high for my tastes.......i don't want to be driving to michigan from here and be running at 3500 rpm for 8 hours. maybe i'll get gears when i get a new car.
