ok i just picked up this 1996 gt red from my uncle and the looks are in great shape but the car sat for a while. i just had the clutch replaced and it sounds like a belt squeaking when the clutch is out but as soon as a little bit of pressure is put on it, it goes away. any advice? also the low oil light is on at least twice a day but my engine isnt running hot and i have max oil. And the last thing im stuck on is wen i give it gas about half way down it starts to bog and shake? could it just b my fule filter and injectors? im lost so if u guys could help me out id appreciate it thanx

 

Ok first off the squeeking like a belt..is your throw out bearing(part of the clutch assembly) the bog down can be alot of things, timing, spark plugs, fuel filter, injectors,..first replace your spark plugs and try a fuel system cleaner and see if that helps..the low oil light, well check the oil see if its low and if not i wouldnt worry about the light

 

ok so how would i stop the squeaking...i just replaced the spark plug wires and plugs only about 2 weeks ago. the fuel filter has never been changed could that help....?

 

have the throwout bearing replaced..does the squeaking stop if you just push the clutch in a little bit?

 

Um to stop the squeek you gotta replace the throw out bearing and..did you put the wires on the right plug because if not then it will shake and run like sh*t..the only thing about the fuel filter is to try it because if it doesnt help the problem, it still probably needed replaced

 

yea i just had the whole clutch replaced... yea wen i push it in just a little bit it goes away any suggestions about the low oil light also?

 

well when the clutch was replaced did they replace the throw out bearing also, if not then you need it replaced to stop the squeek. the low oil light..check the oil with the car off and see if its low and if not then the sensor is shot. What does the low oil light look like?

 

if your oil is full then don't worry about the oil light. Mine does that ocasionally but when i shut the car off for awhile, it will go away. Just check your oil with the dipstick and add some if it gets low. Oh yea, i got a 96 Gt as well.

 

ok so replace the oil sending unit....they said on the sales recipt that they resurfaced the fly wheel and put a new clutch kit in my car which costed <269.00> just for the kit and i dont think its a stage 2...so should i call them and tell them whats goin on?

 

yeah i would call them and tell them c-suckers to replace the throw out bearing..they probably put it in wrong or somethin and if you paid 269 for a stock clutch u got screwed big time..lol i bought the king cobra clutch from ford racing for 200 even
