honestly as much as i love my 5spd if it came down to a convertion stick with the auto.

take the 1500 bucks toss a set of pi heads and intake and get a good tune on the car and it iwll more than make up for the diffence between a auto and 5speed.

yea, you might as well build up that auto and spend money on mods to make your car faster.

Yeah well especially for DRAG RACING...an auto with a converter= cant be touched by a manual tranny.

so if that is your interest of course stick with it and buy a convert... and WATCH the times DROP =)

but if you like/are into road racing etc.... get a manual.

well the only racing id do would prob be drag and the only other kind would be just street but basically in a straight line, prob highway and stop light to stop light racing so auto would be the best?

stick with what you have. switching from one to the other is a waste of money because both can be made to go fast.

just get a convertor with a 2600-2800 stall and get a shift kit and don't forget a trans cooler, esp with a convertor smaller than 10 inches! Then get a set of gears and some DR's. A PI swap, exhaust, CAI, plenum and TB. You will own. Then get some N2O. That's most of what I am doing, minus suspension and a few other small things here and there....

Stick with the auto, build it and your car will be extremley consistant. I'd rather have a beefed up auto than a stock stick. They're so much better and consistant...No driver error

With a built auto you only have have two modes of travel, and that's fast and stop. At least with a stick you can regulate how long it takes you to get to 60m/h. Like on a date with a chick...or a guy...which-ever you prefer.
