If you take good care of it I would expect you to easly be able to see 150k + miles before you have any major problems. And if they are anything like the 5.0 motors I put almost 300k on mine with no major problems when I sold it.

take care of it and 200K is easily done. MM&FF picked up a 96 GT with 194K miles, ran like a top. of course they are modding and abusing it now, and a heavy pi swap with cams etc etc will put a big strain on a high mileage NPI motor, so as long as you don't rip it apart or abuse it, it should last a while.

Does a v8 have an edge over inline 4 with life? Cause the quality stuff from Nissan and Honda stuff have a 200K mile reputation the 240sx and Prelude being most notable.

mechanically speaking, an inline engine by pure design alone is more efficient and more reliable. thats why alot of old trucks with straight 6's are to this day some of the toughest motors built. a lot of buses and fire trucks etc... have inline engines.
