Default Traction/street launch

I know i cant be pulling more than 300 horse, but I cant keep her planted. How do guys with blowers actually get thier tires to stick?

'00 GT, stock block, CAI, TB, Plenum, Alum Driveshaft, SLP cat back, K brace, Sway bar, sub frames, konigs on all fours, and 4.10's.

I have good unidirectional street tires (cant remember the brand)on 17" rims. I cant give ger much gas at all or she breaks loose. I know its a tough situatin to be in to have such a strong power plant. But I know I'm not getting the speed I could if i could keep traction. I've been playing with tire pressure and get minimal improvement. Is there anything I should do (technique or equpiment) before I go to drag radials? What do I need to do to improve my launch?
Thanks in advance.

You need a good set of D/R`s. That will help alot. Regular street tires will never hook up good with 4.10`s.

The only problem with GOOD DR's, is they're alot more than nittos (at least mine were)

With my old continentals on the car, i squeeled the hell out of them, no burn outs, but lots of hard acceleration and squeeling.

Now i've got MT ET Street Radials 275/40/17 and im scared to hurt them, except for the one time i had them at the track.

I'd guess that i have only torn into the rubber (outside of the track) maybe 4 or 5 times in 2K + miles, its hard, but i suppose if the oppurtunity ever arose, i would have a better chance at sticking in the regular road conditions.

How much were they? I am expecting to pay about $200 each. ( plus rims, so I can keep my current tire ready) I would only get two, correct? no need to put them on the front unless I'm going to the track?

Umm they won't do any good on the front even at the track.
