Question about longtubes.

Question about longtubes.
I have BBK ceramic longtubes, and BBX x-pipe with high flow cats. Should all the 02 sensors work? Should the check engine light ever come on because of them?
I always heard that the use of an off-road mid-pipe will cause the check engine light to come on. But I dont know about the catted shorty mid-pipes.
The reason I am asking because my check engine light is on. I am going to buy a flash tuner. I want to get the SCT XCalibrator 2 but I read that I cant shut off the rear two 02 sensors, so if I have to I can't. I hope that I just have a busted 02 sensor that needs to be replaced, which is causing the check engine light on. Otherwise I guess I am going to have to buy a diablo predator tuner.

RE: Question about longtubes.
Get the codes read at auto zone, they should be able to tell that it isa nd find out what it is since the check engine light could be anything.
But you shouldnt have an issue with the o2 sensors with LT's and a catted midpipe. If the code that it is read is o2 sensors, it could be your extension cable going to the 02 sensors
might be loose(or maybe even burnt up touching the exhaust or cats), or just the sensors went bad. I think o2 sensors are suppose to be good for about 50k-75k miles.
I dont have LT's with a catted midpipe yet, that will be a next year thing.
For as the sct 2 you should be able to talk to the sct dealer and have them disable the o2 sensors, its probly one of those dealer options for tunes

RE: Question about longtubes.
I bought BBK 02 extension wires. But the plastic quides werent lining up so I cut them off the 02 sensors. But the plug still plugs in and clips together. I ran my car about 5 starts it was fine, then the check engine light came on. Mabye the wire loosened or something like someone mentioned. I just wanted to make sure that the check engine light shouldnt be one if I have a shorty catted mid-pipe. I am going to autozone now to have my codes scanned. Then I will see what the problem is.... Thanks guys.

RE: Question about longtubes.
I went to autozone, I got my codes checked... I have lean situation in bank two and a problem with the cats in bank 1. I know why my check engine lights on. I have a MAC straight shot intake which replaces the stock MAS and puts it in a 80mm housing. So the computer still thinks its running on the 65mm housing. So my engine is getting more air than it knows. I am going to buy a SCT tuner and fix it... I just wanted to let you guys know incase anyone else comes into this situation.
