I hope everything goes well with him and his family, my thoughts are with them through this tragic accident. And I believe he is trying to sell the GT, not sure though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Didn't they just buy it too?

My best for the Code family. I hope everybody is alright.

But in response to Dark's question: You can boost on the stock compression in a stock engine, but you won't be able to run as much boost as if you got some updated forged internals. Lowering compression is good to do if you want to play it safe, but as long as you get the car tuned you can run the same amount of boost on stock compression after updating the internals. You'll make more power, but you'll need to pay EXTRA attention to tuning it.
i thought that if you have lower compression then you can run more boost and make more power at about the same safty level. like if you could run a Turbo at 16PSI at 8.5:1C/R and make 650hp. Verses if you have stock 9.5:1 and run 10 PSI and make 420hp. and them bet at about the same strain on th motor. THESE NUMBERS ARE JUST GUSSES, NOT REAL NUMBERS.

I always hate to hear bad news. I really like Mitch, so I hope that everything works to him and his family's favor during this situation. I pray that he'll be alright. I am sure he'll be back in no time. We should try to get a card of something together for him though. Any ideas how do set this up? Maybe a hospital address and Rm# so we could send something through the mail?

If someone who knows him personally can set that up I will pitch-in a little something, even a small amount little like $5 from each of us can add up fast.

Im willing to donate to the 'Help Code3GT' fund. I didnt know him that long but he is very helpful when I asked for his help. I know the tragedy of dealing with a personal loss before the holidays. I lost my Aunt in a car accident two weeks ago, she too was in a Neon. My true condolesences go to him and his family. Someone post a link to donate.

Wow, Merry F'n Christmas to that truck driver not paying attention. I am a newbie and dont know anyone here, but my parayers are with you. I second the fund for Code, hopefully he had disability or something, and not the only income. Use the morphine drip, it's great! Please keep us updated on our family member.

That's half truth, half myth. Lowering your CR and running a few more pounds of boost will even out to having a stock CR and running a few less pounds of boost. You're only going to be able to pump so much boost into the stock engine with untouched internals. But if you beef up the internals and lower the CR, you could run more than enough boost to make up for the CR you lost building the engine.

What it comes down to is tuning the engine after boosting it to make the most out of your build.

Maybe he has a paypal account we can send funds to. That way at least all the money is going to one central location that he and his family can have access to.
