slightly confused

my break light came on the other day,

so i checked my break fluid, and it doesnt seem to be low, but my mechanic said that
its probably the front pads

could this b true? the break light will come on when your pads are low?

it could have to do with abs, take it to (i cant remember which) autozone or advance auto parts and have em read the cpu for free :-p

it only comes on when i break.....and only about 80% of the time, sum breaks it wont even come up

is it the light that comes on when you're parking break is on? sometimes the sensor goes bad. I think the sensor is right by the lever, but I'm not certain.

My mach was doing that during hard braking, all i did was added some dot3 to the "max fill" line and it corrected the problem...

and also... barring the sensor being bad...
why would the mech say the FRONT brakes, last time i checked, the parking brake was associated with the REAR brakes...

ill try to fill it up a little bit with the fluid, even tho it looked quite full when i first checked it

the light only comes on under heavy breaking, but will come on under light breaking SOME of the time

has this happened to anyone else?

my ebrake lights been on bout 6 months now. i dont pay attention to it. the sensor is messed up. when i took out the center console on numerous occasions, i messed it up.
