Go with a Trans-go kit, it will NOT include a Transcooler, but you can get one for about $80 from summitt racing. The transgo kit shouldn't cost you more than $120. I don't know about the whole install process, but TripSeven said he did it himself on his 96 I believe, he said it wasn't too bad.

And as for the shifting through your cruise control buttons... that isn't gonna happen. Sounds like you are talking about paddle shifters. I know there is a company out there that makes them for Mustangs, I saw it onthe web a year or so ago. I forget the name, but it was like $1000+ or something....

I think I might snag a nice B&M ratchet style shifter for my tranny when I get my shift kit, transcooler and stall installed.

yes you can accoridng to Bauman engineering they're kits will run u 400 bucks but ull get the best kit on the market from what I can tell, a guy who placed in the top 3 in the World Ford Racing thing lol idk the exact name told me people were using Cobras fitted with auto trannys and bauman shift kits for the drag races. the trans cooler runs 60 bucks from summit racing installation for baumans kit isnt plug nd drive it has to be put in by someone who knows how to deal with wires but I hear it is def worth it cuz u can change gears using your cruise control buttons, or can let it do its own thing, read more at their website, just search bauman engineering

What all comes with the shift kit? And is it worth getting or should I just tune it?
