well i figured id get a faster response here then calling ford. does anyone here know the gear ratio for the axle code LE? And would anyone recomend 4:10's for a car i never drive on highway and only put 600 miles a month on? thanks

What year/car do you have? Yea, 4.10's are fine. If you have a 5spd you'll be around 3000rpm at 70-75. I have 3.73, and run 2750 at 75mph.

no hwy low miles def 410s um 96 up gt's had 327 gears or somethign real close to that.

Go with 4.10s even if you do a lot of highway driving. The oft-repeated statement that they will destroy your gas mileage is a myth, usually posted by someone who has never had them and is repeating what they "heard" from some other bozo who 'heard" it from someone else.

he is posting his question int he 4.6 section 96 was the first year for 4.6l its just a guess but a educated one.

ok thanks for the info. and my car is a 02 gt 5 speed. now that my intake and exhaust system is complete this is the next route i wanted to go. thanks
