Default Manual Transmission

I have a 2003 Mustang GT, i'm assuming that means i have the 3650 tranny then...

Alright, i was taking off in first gear, just a casual take off, nothing real fast, then the tranny makes a loud loud pop and comes out of gear. It was all the way in gear for sure when i took off. I tried to get back into first with no luck... The next day, it let me back into gear a few times, but not usually.

I took it up to the dealership as I have a ford extended warranty. While the technician drove it, it went into gear fine. He stated there was nothing wrong with it. What should I do??????

Thanks

Drive it and if its working fine now just keep an eye on it. If it does it again and I assume its under warranty, I would go back to the dealer and tell them to fix it right. Sounds like the shifte isn't getting the car all the way into gear. Out of adjustment?

"Alright, i was taking off in first girl, "

Did not know stangs came with girls!!

LMAO yeah take it into the dealer and if you have a warranty they should fix it. It sounds to me like the shifter is out of adjustment or the shift mechanism inside is not locking when it should.

lol, i edited the "girl"...

it has 37,000 miles on it so i didn't think it would be a clutch issue, but it may be time for a clutch

usually when clutch is about to go it starts slipping meaning u let the clutch out and press on the gas and it does nothing cuz the clutch isnt engaged.
