Pulling the axle
For my brake kit, I need to pull the rear axle to replace the caliper mounting bracket with the new one (would be nice if the kits came with instructions [:@]). How much work is involved here? Will I need to open the diff and remove its contents? A friend just says there's a couple c-shaped bolts that I need to remove that are near the diff that will then let me pull the axle out, is it that simple? The did this same conversion in 5.0&SF and they mentioned refilling the diff so I can only figure they had to pull everything out of it.
What all am I looking at needing to do to change the caliper mounting bracket? |
RE: Pulling the axle
its got not hard to do but you will need to drain the diffy.

RE: Pulling the axle
Open the diff up then what...? I want to know what I'm doing ahead of time so I can get it taken care of as fast as possible, it's about 35 degrees outside so it's not very fun to work in.
