I went with the MAC 2 1/2 inch cat back to 3 inch chrome tipsbefore I got into this forum. I must say I have a great sound similiar to a flowmaster rumble but slightly louder. Really a 70's muscle car sound and gurgle. I like it and now want to take the next step to performance with X, H, etc. If you can discard your cats in Ill. do so and realize 15-20 RWHP, they really restrict these cars. Its all a matter of taste with the other sounds although the ones with no baffles produce a few more HP and less cool sound at idle but sound better at full throttle in my opinion. I am going to go MAC long tube, and pro chamber H pipe, probably too obnoxious for my wife to drive but better in 1/4 mile.

Flowmaster w/a Bassani X will NOT give you the classic 'muscle' sound you want. For that sound you need a set of L/T headers, a pro-chamber, & either Magnapacks, or Flowmasters. This is a SOUND setup vs L/T's, Dr. Gas, or Bassani x, & magnaflow cat-back for performance & sound.

A catted Bassani X makes a difference with 2 chamber flows. Itmakes a lower deep buzzcloser to a classic soundrather but not that true classic sound. And thanyou definately geta metal raspy soundfrom off-road x pipe with flows. My Bassani X and 2 chamber flow setup can get pretty loud.

Just went to the garage and doublechecked- no, they are pretty much even but the inside of the tips keeps getting rusty.
