Default Headlight help

Ok so I need some help figuring out why when I am driving down the road and hit the small bumps or cracks in the road my headlights shake like they are not mounted tightly... the little pins that hold them in are all there and the little 'humps' that hold it tight are good... can anyone help me out in what to look for or try next?
Thanks!

Perhaps the filaments inside the bulbs themselves are causing this. Even a small move in a filament would result in a drastic shift in the direction of the light exiting the lamp cover.

i dont think its that.. the bulbs are only like 3 months old and they are the sliverstar bulbs... so i would guess they are of good quailty... when i kind of hit the front bumper with my first... and i am parked in front of my garage... it does seem like its the buld that is loose... and i have made sure the little fitting on the back of the bulb is tight and everything is connected right... so i am clueless here...

there is a round black plastic ring that holds the flange on the back of the bulb to the light housing. that may be in back-wards. and not keeping it tight.

Yes

Yes there is the black ring... and from what i can tell, you can only put it on one way... there is a 'deep' side and a 'shallow' side... the only way it goes on and holds the bulb in place is with the shallow side... but i will check it again and make sure it looks ok...

And another way for me to expalin the light bulb vibration is when you hit a bump or crack... the little rattle that you might hear inside your car of any plastic part... if you hear that rattle... the way the rattle sounds is the exact same way the light vibrates... i dont know if that will help you pin point anything else that might be wrong...
Thanks for all the help thus far!

Pull the housing out and check all the tabs to insure none are broken. There are small tabs that keep the housing in place. It is possible that one are more have broken off and is causing the problem you are experiencing.
