I have a 96 gt i want to make it louder but dont have the money to buy an exhaust is there any alternative. thanks

 

unfortunately without money, the only think you could do would be to get rid of a piece of yours exhaust.... but that wouldnt be too highly reccomended

 

The only rational way to do that is to try hollowing out your cats. otherwise you'll have to anti up the 150+ for a mid pipe, or 250+ for a cat back

Wait, save your money, and buy some good exhaust. Don't drill holes in your pipes or hallow out your cats, it's noise but noise no one wants to hear...

 

if its manual u could always drive at higher rpms like 3k cruising in first or second and that allways makes it louder, otherwise nope

 

just lose your mufflers it will cost you like 80 bucks fo someone to weld in a piece of strait pipe.

 

For $150 I bought Sweet-thunder mufflers, just like SLP loudmouths. Had the exhaust shop cut out the stock muffler and weld-in the Sweet-thunders. They're straight-through mufflers so they look like a bigger piece of exhaust piping. Mine got a lot louder.
