I have a 98 mustang gt with 70k on the odo. all original with some bolt on mods. last summer i hit a tree and totalled it, insurance paid off the loan then i bought the mustang back from the insurance company for cheap. the whole drive train is perfect running order, it just isnt worth putting the $5000 to make it legit enough to pass the salvage inspection (airbags are a bitch)

my question is are there any other chasis that i can drop my motor into, or if they make mount kits. in particular i was wondering if it would mount into an older fox style, pretty much anything from 85-92. yeah this is my first mustang ive ever owned and also first domestic swap (been into hondas, time to go v8)....

any info would help, thanks.

 

Unless you have a 03/04 Cobra motor to swap into a Fox, it doesn't make any sense at all to drop a 2v mod motor into a Fox, when the 5.0 is capable of much more HP for half the price.

 

 

well i already have the 4.6 motor and if i could get a motor-less 5-0 shell for a couple hundred from my friend.... of course its not a more powerfull motor... i was just asking if it would fit and if i would need aftermarket mounts.... help me out people!
