i know this sounds stupid but what is pi. what is a pi mustang and what does it have that a non pi doesnt have. how do u know if urs is pi?

96-98 not pi.
99-04 pi.

it means performance improved or power improved. basically redesigned heads and intake.

96-98`s are non PI. 99-04 are PI. PI stands for Performance Improvement. It has to do with your intake and heads.

Not sure exactly. But I know it will be pretty expensive. If I were you, I would get the parts from one that was totaled out or get the whole engine and swap it out.
