Your 03 hit 40,000? Damn, my GT has like 22,000 and it's a 02. I guess my car is still a baby. [&:]

40,000 isnt that bad for an 03, you figure its been driven some of 02, all of 03,04,and 05. Thats about average for that year. If it makes you feel better, my 01 has almost 80,000 miles on it.

I just hit 47,000 miles on my 02.

It has been my daily driver for the year I've owned it (bought it with 28,000 miles). Since my employer moved me and gave me a new vehicle for a daily driver...the Stang is finally OFF THE STREETS! Garaged 24/7 and will never see rain or snow again. Only to be brought out now and again on nice days to terrorize the streets/strip.

I didn't do anything for the 40,000 mile mark either, and am curious what might need to be done. My only reference is what's in the Ford manual.

my 02 has 27,000 on it, i got it used with 9,000 miles back in 04 when i was 18. This is the first winter i have had it away, i never had many miles on it until i went to college and those 40 miles a day runs began to add up. I bought a 01 honda accord with 150,000 on it for 500 bucks and i use that for my beater. Anyways (gettin off topic) i never had a single problem with the car, my buddy has an 03V6 with 42,000 miles on it and hasnt had a problem eiether, these mustangs seem pretty well put together. 40,000 for an 03 GT doesnt sound that bad

If you have owned it all 40000 miles and have been keeping up on regular maintainence, then you probably dont have anything to worry about. Getting it looked at by a mechanic never hurts, but it isnt necessary....

Dude, where did you get an 01 Accord for $500? I wanna get a beater car too, but I cant even find a 91 Accord for $500, is that what you meant, 91?

Maybe he meants $5000? But even that would be pretty cheap unless it had a dirty title....
