Most competetive road/track racers do better with Solid Axels that have a
Torque Arm/Pan hard bar
or
Watts Link/Tri-Link

As a general rule IRS is nearly worthless for all things competative. It can be modified to work almost as well as the above but it'll cost much more money and it'll weight quite a bit more.
On the upside it offers a nice ride and it's kinda fun once you modify it to get all of the play out.
